As a hands-on director, I remain actively involved in software development, particularly within the Microsoft .NET stack. My primary responsibility is to lead the technology side of three credit card processing gateways, ensuring their smooth and efficient operation. In my role, I directly manage and supervise 12 software development employees, overseeing their work and providing guidance to ensure high-quality outputs. My responsibilities include recruiting and developing team members and building a fully functional development team, including senior and junior staff. In addition to team management, I oversee complex integrations with credit card authorization platforms, with a strong focus on speed and reliability. Family and Fun Facts

I'm a proud papa to my three amazing kids: Austin (25), Kaylee (16), and Tyler (12). They bring so much joy and laughter into our lives. My beautiful and supportive wife, Emily, is not just my soulmate but my best friend too. We've been on this incredible journey together for 32 years, and we've been happily married for 27 of them. She's the rock that keeps our family strong and my biggest cheerleader.

We are a true soccer family, with the love for the game running deep in our veins. All the kids have been kicking a ball around since they could walk! Emily and I both grew up immersed in the world of competitive soccer, playing through high school, college, and even semi-pro. When my competitive playing days were over, I found a new passion in coaching. After nearly 20 years of coaching competitive soccer, I now have the pleasure of coaching my daughter’s recreational teams, STRONGER, in the Birdville Area Youth Futbol Association in North Richland Hills. It's a blast sharing the love of the game with the next generation.

And yes, when I'm not on the soccer field, you'll likely find me in front of a computer coding away. I have a deep passion for software engineering and love exploring new technologies in my spare time. Whether it's coaching on the field or coding at my desk, I find immense joy in continuously expanding my skills and knowledge. Life is a beautiful blend of family, soccer, and coding, and I wouldn't have it any other way!

I am also the founder and primary contributor to SoccerXpert.com, where I share my love for the game by providing free soccer drills and tips to youth soccer coaches worldwide. My passion for soccer drives me to give back to the community, helping coaches everywhere develop their teams and inspire young players.

My inspiration to start coaching comes from several key influences in my life, including my father, Chuck Johnson, my youth competitive coach, David Hudgell, and my college coach, G. Guerrieri. Their guidance and mentorship have shaped my coaching approach and commitment to the sport.

I hold a USSF National “C” License, which I obtained in March 1998. With over 36 years of experience coaching competitive and youth soccer, I remain actively involved in youth soccer development, continually striving to nurture the next generation of players.
